no its not ominous at all dont turn this into a shipping thing yo. its whoever they look up to - in the memory where brainghost-dirk was created, dirk had just told jake the truth about the timeline and it probably made jake look up to him, and admire him for having to go through all that, and having a kick ass brother.

same with tavros and rufio - tavros admired him and looked up to him and wanted to be just like him one day. : )
